CARIOCA ENGENHARIA IS RECOMMENDED FOR ISO 37001:2017

In the month of its 77^th anniversary, Carioca Engenharia has just received an official recommendation for ISO 37001:2017 certification – Antibribery Management System. Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), this certification sets out requirements and provides guidance on the establishment, implementation, maintenance, critical review and improvement of the antibribery management system.

What does that mean in practice? It means that by having the ISO 37001:2017 certification, it is acknowledged that the organization has put into place a management system that meet international criteria regarding the risk of bribery, which builds stakeholder trust in the company’s business and provides Carioca Engenharia with a competitive edge by demonstrating the adoption of best practices in ethics.

Managing director Daniel Rizzotti believes the certification is the culmination of a process that began 10 years ago, and it should add even more transparency to commercial relations. “Ethics is a value at Carioca Engenharia. We have a pillar that says compliance is non-negotiable, and this certification confirms and implements this,” Daniel says.

The company awaits completion of the certifier’s internal procedures to receive the certification itself.
