CARIOCA ENGENHARIA TRAINEES VISIT THE PORT OF RIO CONSTRUCTION SITE

Jan 26, 2024

This week, under the Trainee Program, an exclusive training session provided an in-depth view of the complexity and innovation behind construction tasks at the Port of Rio. The day was carefully planned, offering a unique combination of theoretical presentations, site visits and direct interaction with company leaders.

The day began with a presentation given by Gustavo Maschietto, Director of Engineering and Operations at Carioca, and project manager Marconi Assis. The trainees were immersed in the details of the project, learning about its challenges, strategies and innovations that shape up the Port of Rio panorama.

After absorbing theoretical knowledge, the group was taken to the construction site for some practical experience. The visit included a detailed inspection of every aspect of the construction, including a tour of the Ramlift. Direct interaction with the work environment provided trainees with a real understanding of the challenges faced daily by our team. Engagement was evident, and the exchange of ideas enriched the learning experience.

The second half of the day was led by People Management coordinator Marcelle Assef. Trainees were guided through an in-depth analysis of the role of people management and emotional intelligence in the success of large-scale engineering projects, providing a holistic view of their future responsibilities. This immersion day did not only equip trainees with technical knowledge, but also strengthened the culture of excellence and innovation that defines the company.

Carioca reaffirms its commitment to training outstanding leaders and looks forward to the valuable contributions that these trainees will bring to future engineering challenges.
