Construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in the municipality of Paraíba do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, is progressing rapidly and has already reached 74% completion. A major milestone has been achieved with the completion of the bioreactor and decanter, essential structures for the plant’s operation.

The bioreactor, measuring 11.80 meters wide and 11.40 meters high, and the decanter, with a length of 11.80 meters, a width of 4.20 meters, and a height of 6.30 meters, were built with 442 m³ of concrete and 52 tons of steel. This stage, which required 141 days of intensive work, demonstrates the commitment to meeting the project schedule.

When completed, the WWTP will have the capacity to treat 30 liters of sewage per second, benefiting approximately 42,000 residents. The project represents a significant advance for sanitation services in the municipality, with positive impacts on public health, environmental preservation, and sustainable development in the region, ensuring a better quality of life for the population.
