PORT OF RIO EXPANSION WORKS SPEED UP

We are proud to say that most Brazilian ports have construction works signed by Carioca Engenharia. Since April this year we have been leading another expansion project at the Port of Rio terminal. The project will increase the length of the pier by almost 100 meters, expanding operational capacity in container handling and storage for the import and export of materials and products and the flow of large vessels in the city.

In September, we started pile driving activities. Altogether, 160 piles will be driven, each 30 meters long. For this activity, we use Ramlift, our exclusive equipment that allows pile driving operations to be more efficient, faster and more reliable.

On November 28^th, we kicked off the first major superstructure concreting job using an innovative methodology of steel formworks for onsite structures, highlighting Carioca’s commitment to modern construction practices and excellent finishing on exposed concrete.

We will have more events like this until the first quarter of next year. The successful completion of this first phase, whose complex logistics required synchronization between the teams involved, highlights our expertise in large-scale port projects.
